Hello and welcome to my website. I`m Pascal Zeller, part time professional fishing guide and photographer. Living near Interlaken in the Bernese Oberland / Swiss Alps - since fifteen years with my wife Cindy and more recently with our two kids Lukas and Sarah. ...they actually support my fishing fever...!!

I have been working in service oriented businesses since 20 years, serving clients from all over the world, multinational companies and the average tourist. I own and operate two companies - Upstream Flyfishing (I guide about 60 days per year) and Alpin Photo (sports, weddings, corporate, foto lab). I communicate fluently in English, French and German.

Why not take advantage of your stay in Switzerland and fish with a local who knows the good spots and how to fish them ? Switzerland is maybe not one of the prime fishing destinations in the world - it is mainly structural changes of many streams- not pollution- that has influenced our fisheries - nevertheless pristine waters can be found off the beaten path, full of healthy fish and in a natural setting of famous beauty.


Fishing experience: As most people I started up with my dad dangling worms or casting spinners. On a stay in NewZealand some 15 years ago I discovered the Art of Flyfishing and was hooked...I have since fished all over Europe and the USA having time to perfection my skills and different techniques. I do not consider myself a grand caster, most fishing here is about beeing on the move, reading the water, finding the fish. Long casts are generally not needed and often present a disadvantage. A careful approach, accuracy and perfect line control are the keys to success. Many of the streams I fish are fairly small, wild and fragile. On higher elevations fish grow slow due to little food troughout the winter and the year round icy water temperatures. To preserve this environment I prefer to not kill every fish caught (if any at all.....) and never fish a particular section more then 4-5 times a year. If you are out for “trophies” or to stock your freezer....this might not be the place for you.... spend some quality time Upstream Flyfishing....!
