   general information:

   * Fishing season generally runs from mid-march to end of september for trout, from september to december for grayling.

   * Bernese fishing licence is required at the cost of SFr.50.-/day or SFr.150.-/7days. It is not included in your guides day rate.

   * Most people prefer to fish dry flies - so do I... on a good day you may catch & release 30 trout on a dry. Best flies on faster flowing water      are high floating fairly bushy, size14-18, like Adams, Wulffs, caddis, bug or hopper imitations  For the bigger fish you will need some              weighted nymphs or streamers skillfully fished in the deep pools.

   * Best for most fishing situations is a 5-6 weight rod with floating line, for pike fishing 7-8wt. Sink tips for the deepest pools or lakes.                  Leaders knotted or tapered, from 3m for mountain trout streams, to 4.5m for winter fishing for grayling.

   * In our mountaineous area the water levels and therefore fishing conditions are ruled by the weather. After heavy rains streams may                  become unfishable for days. Fortunately there is a few tailwaters in the area that always provide excellent fishing...

   * Stillwater fishing is possible for groups up to 6 people, on streams I prefer to have only one, maximum two guests (friends or couples only     discount for the second person).

   * I generally support catch & release for the future of our waters - exceptions on special demand....

   * You need not to be a professional flycaster, but basic casting abilities are required for the Wilderness Trip. If you are a beginner you may        want to book a Introduction Day first.
